Circus Modern entertains thousands of children at School Assemblies Indoors or outdoors, a circus theme inspires children, provides wonder, and excellent role models for health, exercise, and dedication to the arts and athleticism. Circus arts also provide a platform for building strength and confidence with accessible and fun props and movement arts. Playshops after the assembly performance are ideal for up-close interactions with the artists and children. To assist educators with choosing a curriculum for the assembly, here are two examples of programming. 1. The "Your School" Circus Show 40 mins - 1 hour show 1 Stilt walker and 1 emcee $600 2 Flow artists: buugeng & juggler $1200 Aerialist act on a lollipop lyra. $1500 Clown with circus variety show - approx. 40 min. $700 Total: $4000 1 hour show with acts at two times: 9 am performance 10:15 performance Each artist is $600, except the aerialist is $1500. +travel if needed 2. The "Your School" Circus Circus 1 Hour show and a playshop interaction at recess with props provided 10 am - 11 am Call Time: 9:45 am On-site: 7:45 - 8 am Message: We can use a mic to announce encouragement for "Eat healthy & Exercise. Be active in the Summer". Circus artists are also inherently good role models. 1 hour show: Stilt Walkers - intro Juggler & Clown Diabolos interlude Buugeng Juggler Hand balance Chair Act Clown - 30 mins. with Juggler joining in with clown near the end of the set 11:15 am - 1:30 pm Share props during lunch times. Be available to chat & answer questions. Including: dance ribbons, spinning plates, juggling balls, hula hoops, and Giant Bubbles Each entertainer is $725, except hand balancer is $1500 + $ for travel Example: (5 x $725 + $1500 + $400) 6 Entertainers = $5525 Details - Your questions answered: 50% of the total serves as a non-refundable deposit to reserve the entertainment for this date and time. Green Room: A safe place to store gear and to get ready is ideal. Meal: n/a Liability Insurance: Yes, a COI will be provided for each entertainer. Please supply any information needed such as name for the additional insured, and an email address for the COIs. Filming: Circus Modern may film the show with a focus on the entertainers. Amplification: Provided by the host. The circus will bring a mobile device with music downloaded and capable of connecting to speaker system with an adapter. We will bring a back up speaker & mic as well. Please provide a mic. Green Room - Yes please: a place as close as possible to the performance space for changing, make up, stretching and safe storage of gear. Arrival: 1.5 hours - 2 hours prior to performance Additional Fun Acts: Cyr Wheel Act, $1500 Cyr Wheel + LED dance act with dragon staff $1700 LED dancer with dragon staff, poi or other prop: $600 or $750 including playshop Amazing Hand Balance Chair Act 7 min. act with precision, high-end athletic skill, & wow-factor - $1500 30 min. act with knife juggling & chair balancing - $4000 School Fundraiser Acts Many of the options for the assembly are also available as acts for an adult or graduating class. Hoop Dancer - Stilt Walker Stilt Walkers make great greeters, they entertain with props for ambient entertainment to set the larger-than-life vibe or as an act. Whether creatures or circus characters, the style can be tailored to your mood board.
